In this blog post I’ll briefly walk you through all the new features. A more detailed blog post with all the relevant information will follow for each feature later on. In short, this release is all about: - Domain registration and management directly in the dashboard, integrated with your site - A free domain name with every site (limited to a few domain extensions) - Managing your own security (WAF) and CDN from the dashboard - A revamped ordering and billing system with more payment methods ### Domains The biggest new feature is the integration of domain registration. To make this possible, we’ve thoroughly overhauled the ordering process and added domain management alongside DNS. #### Ordering and registration The new ordering process is now a single, continuous flow. When ordering a site, you immediately get the option to register or transfer a domain name and link it – you check availability right away, get several suggestions (.nl, .com, .be, …) and pay for everything in one go. Everything happens in one process: no separate DNS settings, everything is linked directly and goes live quickly. And if you take out a CloudPress site, you get a domain name free with your package. Domains can also be purchased separately, by the way: you can register, transfer and manage a domain name *without* a site being linked to it. #### Domain management & DNS Alongside linking a domain name comes proper domain management, of course. Everything you want to set up for a domain can now be done in the portal: DNS, DNSSEC, nameservers, contact details, transfers and renewals – you name it. The DNS editor has had a few improvements: a nicer interface for creating records and a number of new record types. ### Security & CDN Bunny CDN with its accompanying firewall (WAF) were already running behind the scenes to make your site faster and safer. What’s new is that you can now manage this yourself from the dashboard. That way you can configure the WAF as you wish, with protection against attacks, bot detection, rate limiting and access lists. On top of that, you can set up edge rules. Which settings are available depends on your package. ### Payments and billing Also important: a revamped billing system. What’s changing: - Credit when cancelling or downsizing — if you cancel a service mid-term or scale it down, you get the remaining paid period back as credit in your account.
